At the third and final Presidential Debate last Wednesday night, you may have heard Republican Nominee, Donald J Trump calling the Democratic Nominee, Hillary Clinton, “a nasty woman,” but he has all the respect in the world for women — right? #BOYBYE
Nasty Gal Nasty Women Unite Tee: $48, nastygal.com
Since then, a few clothing companies that we know and love are taking a stand. Most dominantly, is Nasty Gal, who in response has slashed out the Gal and replaced it with Woman. Founder and OG Girl Boss, Sophia Amoruso has been a voice for women’s rights and thought of a great way to give the middle finger to men like Mr. Trump. Nasty Gal will be selling limited edition totes and T-shirts with an image of Clinton rocking a spiked choker and a punk rock persona. The best part? The proceeds will be going to Planned Parenthood.
Nasty Gal Nasty Woman Totes Bag: $25, nastygal.com
Of course after this was announced, there was some backlash. Few made the argument that people should just donate $25 to Planned Parenthood instead of purchasing an item that they won’t use again after the election. That’s missing the point. Of course we can donate whenever we choose to, but uniting as women, sporting this message via totes or shirts is a message that will never go out of style. We already bought our tote, and don’t worry, they are sold out but have a wait-list and will be re-stocking soon!
