Namaste, everyone. Happy, happy to you in this magical start to 2012.
It seems to me that for the past month I've been spending my time in and out of airports but then I am reminded of pulling up to the Homestead, enjoying long rides down the mountain there, the blissful meals and spa delights; the trip to Connecticut, to the quiet, artsy town of Old Lyme, with it's incredible Connecticut River views and inviting galleries, (Flo-Gris!); a New Years spent in calm Corolla on the Outer Banks, where a final sunset was watched and hugs to ring in '12; the beauty of looking at a Manhattan sunrise on my red-eye flight from the east to the west and finishing it all in Dana Point, CA - a perfect place unto itself. A couple more ashtanga yoga classes here and a few evening walks there and I'll be back in Williamsburg resuming classes for a spring semester, with only one year left in college.
This break has been beautiful for me - curling up with books I've been putting off for months, writing and creating design sketches in my journal, gaining material for a social media start-up project this spring - all culminating in a refreshed and revived me.
