These days, we can't get enough of the '70s california hippie look, and really, what better reason in there to raid your Mom's relics or indulge in some of the modern options from Renata Abbade or Daughters of the Revolution than floral prints, silver and leather jewelry or fringed bags?

Venice-born Heyoka leathergoods are swimming in good vibes. After years spent making dreamcatchers and accessories for friends, and being accosted by curious and enthusiastic passerbys on the street, founders Leslie Crow and Rachel Avraham decided they should turn their custom designs into a business. More recently, they teamed up with friend and denim designer Angela Bruyere and the three ladies think of themselves as a family business, hand making each of their "modern American heirlooms." But it's not all warm-fuzzies– Heyoka, which refers to a Lakota term for a sacred clown, produces leather purses and pouches, headpieces and multi-tiered necklaces that are excessive, earthy and always dripping in fringe.
