PROPR and PacSun

PROPR and PacSun threw a killer party at LA’s Box Eight Studios to kick off this season’s PacTour, featuring Saosin, P.O.S., Eye Alaska and Innerpartysystem. Demi Lovato, CK Wilson of the Texas Rangers, and many more were in attendance for the night’s entertainment.

Quik 40

On November 20th the Grand Palais in Paris dedicated its space to Quiksilver’s 40th Anniversary party, hosted by Tony Hawk. Kelly Slater, Robby Naish, Travis Rice, Torah Bright, Lisa Andersen, Tom Carroll, Jeremy Flores, and Mathieu Crepel were all in attendance. Tony Hawk and his guests Andy MacDonald, Sandro Dias, Sergie Ventura and Jean Postec then skated on the biggest ramp in Europe. Post-show there was a live concert by Dead By Sunrise, and a DJ set by Mix Master Mike, from the Beastie Boys. Aw yeah!

The Drifter

A packed theater gathered on November 5th, 2009 for the Los Angeles screening of The Drifter, from director Taylor Steele. There was an acoustic performance by Jon Swift and Rob Machado as they played original songs from the film, while people filed in to their seats. Alas, the theater was overflowing— standing room only. The DVD is out now and can be found at thedriftermovie.com.
