We caught up with songwriter, singer, and drummer of the Bleeding Knees Club Alex Wall for some one-on-one time. Don't miss him and his buddy Jordan Malane performing in L.A. this coming weekend. The punk rock duo will be sure to deliver an entertaining show:
3/10 at The Bootleg Theatre in Los Angeles
3/12 School Night @ Bardot in Hollywood
Name: Alex Wall
Hometown: Gold Coast, Australia
What would you be doing if you weren't in Bleeding Knees Club?
Well I have a degree in advertising, so I would probably be thinking of ways to sell you something.
Give us your top three musical influences:
1. The American Graffiti soundtrack
2. Black Lips
3. Blink 182
You guys have two shows in Los Angeles before heading to SXSW— any plans or must see attractions you're trying to squeeze in on the West Coast?
I really want to go to Disneyland! That would be awesome.
Anyone you're stoked to see at SXSW?
Yeah! Total Slacker, Bleached, Thee Oh Sees.
What's the weirdest thing you've eaten on tour?
I dont think I've eaten anything too weird. We've toured in pretty normal places so far, so I've been able to avoid weird foods.
What's your dream show lineup?
Us and Blink 182
Where is your favorite place to play music?
In my bedroom. Or if we are playing a packed show at home on the floor or something, that is always the best.
What do you want on your tombstone?
Ahh man I don't want a tombstone, I want to be dropped into the ocean and be eaten by sharks.
Cowboys or aliens?
Which L.A. band do you want us to interview next? Tell us in the comments below and we'll make it happen!
