It’s no secret we here at FOAM love being active and aren’t afraid to get dirty and rough it with a sleep-under-the-stars camping excursion. But we also don’t shy away from a little dose of luxury when it’s needed, especially when it encompasses a series of healthy activities sure to make us look and feel our best. Enter The Lifestyle by Scott Crawford wellness retreats, which take place at the legendary Hotel Bel-Air the The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. The retreats are made up of the perfect mix of sessions that work on the mind and the body, challenging attendees physically, spiritually and even culturally. Participants can simply choose to do one class or activity such as a hike, meditation, Pilates or yoga-all of which take place outside-or, they can really dive into what the retreats have to offer with the longer options. The 180 Degree half-day event includes breakfast and a choice of activities such as a private training, tennis, t’ai chi or cycling, a light snack, and then a massage. The 360-degree full-day option means breakfast, a choice of activities that range from horseback riding to a Franklin Canyon hike, followed by a second session of yoga, Pilates, t’ai chi, acupuncture or meditation and then lunch. The afternoon brings an acting class, a museum visit or shopping to fully round out the experience. The jam-packed day is topped off by a massage and dinner at either the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge or the Hotel Bel-Air’s Wolfgang Puck restaurant. No matter which you pick, you’re sure to feel like a new person at the end of your day. Suddenly, camping doesn’t sound so appealing.
